George's birthday
Three weeks ago I went to graphic journalism workshop organised by Drawing the time.
We had to do a really cool exercise: interview our colleagues about something personnal and tell their story with drawings.
Here is the story from Mark about his father George who is turning 87 this year.

INKTOBER 2018 - A LITTLE INTRODUCTION TO FEMINISM
Again this year I took the #inktober challenge: one month, one list of words for everyone, one drawing a day.
On top of that I decided to link each word with a sexist phrase and the feminist answer that can support women. Keeping it light, funny and colourful as always! It has been a lot of researches, many evenings spent in front of feminists websites and newspapers learning about this fight for gender equality.
It changed my way of thinking and seeing the world and I am very proud that I managed to keep going until the very last day.
I received a lot of very positive messages and encouragements and decided to go a step further. I printed a set of cards as an initiation to feminism, a conversation starter to bring this topic on everyone's table!!

WINDOW DRAWING for WILDERNIS, Amsterdam
I was asked by the beautiful plant shop Wildernis, in Amsterdam, to do their window drawing.
I got inspired by the impression of jungle and cosy house that you can feel inside the shop. I also created a series of postcard with the same design.

MY DUTCH CONVERSATIONS
I'm back!!! I know it's been a very looooong time, I have to confess that Instagram became my best friend since 2 years (_byloren_) and it's so easy to post drawings every days there that I forgot to take the time to write proper articles here.
Also I hope you won't mind if I write in english from now (if you do want a french version, please let me know in the comments!). Since I live in Amsterdam now, I would like to make stories in a commun language. Not sure if I'll post in Dutch one day!

Aujourd'hui je voulais vous parler de Lavinia Good Food, un petit café pour lequel j'ai eu un coup de coeur esthétique au premier abord puis pour tout le concept. C'est ce qu'on appelle un "healthy café", le concept : un genre de salon de thé / café / épicerie / boutique qui vend des produits locaux, frais, sains et savoureux dans un décor bric à brac entre brocante et salon cosy.

Today I want to share with you about Lavinia Good Food, a lovely café I had an esthetic crush first and then felt for the whole concept. It is called a "healthy café", the concept : kind of a tea room / café / delicatessen / shop selling local, fresh, healthy and tasty products in an odds and ends style between a flea market and a cosy living room.
J'ai vraiment beaucoup aimé la déco, le côté boutique avec des objets décos à vendre et l'ambiance chalheureuse et confortable du lieu.

I really liked the deco, the shop style with decorative objects that you can directly buy and the warm and cosy atmosphere.
Chez Lavinia vous pourrez savourer entre autres des sandwichs, des pizzettas, des soupes, des gâteaux alléchants, des salades et des cocktails végétariens. Ils organisent également des workshops pour apprendre à cuisiner des menus detox ou super food ou encore produits à base d'insectes, bref ça vaut le coup de passer dans le temps pour regarder leur agenda !
